Lynley Christoffersen grew up with a love of music which has led to working in the music industry as a singer, musician and performer for over 30 years.
A versatile singer, her work has included both lead and backing vocals in a wide range of covers and originals bands including ,The Beat Girls, The Pink Floyd Experience , and artists such as Hollie Smith. She has toured and performed extensively throughout NZ, and regularly through Australia and South Africa.
She has worked as a recording artist, for TV, Radio ( shows such as “the big Night in”) and on a range of album projects.
Her music work also has included vocal tuition, coaching and mentoring both in high schools and privately, tutoring performance groups and creating a range of singing workshops. Lynley also loves song writing, has performed as a singer songwriter and released an originals album in 2007. She still continues to write.
Lynley met Jade on an album project, which has since led to a wonderful vocal partnership. They honed their sound in the blues/ gospel / soul band The Gospel Project, and are currently working on developing their own musical project , “The Tempests”, launching in 2018 ( watch this space).
In 2011 a vacancy came along for an extra Background Vocal spot in The Hitchcock Railway. Jade called up her musical- duo buddy, who said, “HECK YES!!” and so Lynley has played along with these crazy cool Cocker cats ever since. “It’s such a blast.”
