Hitchcock Railway was formed in 1995 out of the remains of a pub covers band. Steve used to sing a couple of Joe’s songs and we had talked of a tribute to the great Joe Cocker.

It took a few years to put a nine piece band together (all the musicians we wanted) and the gigs came slowly. by 1997 we were playing big festivals and charity events.
We have headlined at Blues Brews BBQ’s at Mt Maunganui, Hawkes Bay and Blenheim many times. HOG rallies all over the country, Devonport music and food festival, Toast Martinborough, and lots of others.

The line-up for 2015 was : Steve Brattle Lead Vocal, Jade Eru Vocal, Lynley Goodisson Vocal, Bob Keeton on piano/keyboards, Sly Shanks on Bass, Scott Simpson on Guitar, Chris Baxter on Sax, Matt Collier on Percussion and Greg Bates on Drums.

The band has now transformed into a 10 Piece band and gigging frequently to sell out audiences.

The new lineup 2017/2018   retains  most of the original favorites , however Matt has been replaced by Lance Philip on percussion, Lynley got hitched and is now Lynley Christofferson, and the welcome addition of Gary Taylor  Keyboards and support.

Steves unique voice emulating the gravely sound of the late Joe Cocker is backed by the powerful voices of both Jade and Lynley and the full driving force of this amazing line up.

This is world class talent right here in Upper Hutt.  Don’t miss it.  It will be epic.
